NTT's Human Interface Lab (Tokyo) has Cyber Finger,
an artificial hand driven by neural chips. Coarse-movement
training reportedly takes only two minutes. [Newsbytes.
Bits & Bytes, 11/4/93.] What's really special is the command
sensor. A wristwatch-size grid of sensors picks up activity in
the wearer's hand and fingers. No need for a bulky Data Glove.
